🔒 100% Local In-Browser Processing (Zero Server Ingestion)
Your privacy is absolute. YouTubeSoundGrabber operates as a pure client-side static web application:
- Zero Server Audio Processing: Audio playback, commercial splicing, and 320 kbps MP3 encoding occur 100% locally inside your own browser using the Web Audio API and
lamejs. No audio data ever touches a remote server. - Direct Local Disk Writing: Files are saved directly to your chosen local folder or browser downloads without passing through any intermediate proxy servers.
- No User Accounts or Personal Data: We do not require, collect, or store email addresses, names, IP histories, or user identities.
- Zero Tracking Cookies: We do not use third-party analytics trackers, fingerprinting scripts, or cross-site tracking cookies.
🌐 Local Client Storage & Permissions
The application accesses only standard browser APIs explicitly granted by you during your session:
- Screen / Tab Audio Sharing: Used solely in real-time to route the active tab audio to the in-browser Web Audio encoder during recording.
- File System Access: Used solely to write your converted MP3 files directly into your selected local output directory.
- All permissions are session-scoped and managed entirely by your own browser settings.
